Anjela Jay is Finance & Operations Manager at Musical Theatre Network, having joined in April 2026. She works across financial management, operations and systems, contributing to the delivery of MTN’s programmes and the day-to-day running of the organisation.
Anjela brings over 25 years’ experience in business support and operations, having worked across the non-profit, education and technology sectors in roles spanning executive assistance, HR and compliance. She enjoys bringing clarity and structure wherever she works, finding practical ways to make processes run smoothly.
Earlier in her career, Anjela worked as HR Manager at the Royal Shakespeare Company, an experience that gave her an insight into the inner workings of a large arts organisation (and the occasional memorable moment in the Green Room). She holds a degree in Film and Drama, where she discovered she is a terrible actress but fortunately developed a love of spreadsheets instead! Joining MTN feels like a natural return to the arts from a different perspective.
Alongside her role at MTN, Anjela continues to support small organisations through freelance compliance and business support work. She is MCIPD-qualified in Human Resources, holds NEBOSH health and safety qualifications, and is a certified Salesforce Administrator.
Her most memorable musical theatre experience as a performer was appearing in Bugsy Malone as a student (memorable for a variety of reasons!), while as an audience member, seeing The Phantom of the Opera on Sydney Harbour, produced by Opera Australia, remains a particular highlight.
