A panel discussion between theatre directors with a passion for directing new musicals, with a particular focus on career pathways for directors focused on musicals. Our panellists will share insights about how they balance their work on new musicals with their wider career, and how directing new musicals differs to directing plays or musical revivals. This discussion will be of interest to theatre directors but also to musical theatre producers and creatives working with directors, giving insights that will usefully inform future collaborations with directors.
