Tennick and Ramsay
Tennick and Ramsay are a Scottish writing duo who have been writing together for five years. Their previous works include Thread (One Ren, 2022), Land (Guilded Balloon Patter Hoose, 2022), Welcome to Serene (New Wolsey Theatre, 2024) and Hysterica, (Developed with Pitlochry Festival Theatre and Capital Theatres, 2024). As a duo, they aim to create politically engaged work that tells new and urgent stories.

Our Current Projects
Welcome to Serene
Welcome to Serene is a satirical, meta-theatrical musical about a quirky town on the edge of collapse. When a newcomer arrives, the town faces a moral reckoning that exposes the fragility of their world, and their complicity in it. Blending commentary on climate change and capitalism, Welcome to Serene is sharp, strange, and darkly comic new musical. After winning the New Music Theatre Award in 2024 and benefitting from development with British Youth Music Theatre, we have spent the last year reimagining it for a smaller adult cast. Designed for a mid-sized cast of 10-14 diverse performers.
Hysterica
Hysterica is a new punk-musical which follows six women and one child living in a house after women stopped living with men. As they grapple with their desires, doubts and failings as feminists, their craving for true power takes a darker turn. Through intimate vignettes and explosive gig-style numbers, the show explores how the patriarchal forces of the “Before Times” are creeping back into their sanctuary. Developed with Pitlochry Festival Theatre and Capital Theatres, Hysterica is seeking a producer to support its next stage of development and move the show into its next phase.
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking long-term collaborators for both Hysterica and Welcome to Serene – including producers, directors, and venues. While we love working with emerging talent, we’re currently prioritizing established creatives to help get these shows off the ground.
We’re also looking for producers interested in touring children’s theatre rurally in Scotland. We have several shows for young audiences developed locally and would love to connect if this sounds like a fit.
Lastly, we’re open for commissions from September 2025 (currently writing for Snappy Opera, Stellar Quines, and PACE). If you have an idea you’d like to bring to life, let’s talk!
