My Current Projects
KIDNEY4U
KIDNEY4U is a dark comedy inspired by true stories. It follows an Australian cult who give their kidneys to people around the world as the ultimate act of kindness. However, when donor (Millie) and recipient (Becky) meet, a bond is formed that goes much deeper than expected. Two-time Olivier Nominee, Fabian Aloise is attached to direct. The journey of the show can be followed on the Theatre Channel with a series of behind the scene episodes titled ‘Kidney Diaries’. The show’s been supported by Birmingham Hippodrome and is is now ready to enter the early phase of readings/ workshops.
Harry & Greta
He’s also developing his award-winning piece ‘Harry & Greta’- a story examining what happened to Hansel & Gretel post-Witch escape.
Other projects
As well as this, he’s in early stages on a new farcical play set on a Greek Island- supported by Criterion Theatre- and on a new one-person musical comedy.
He has a million other ideas and pitches so please do get in contact if interested!
What I'm Looking For
Lewis would love to make new connections with producers looking to help develop new (somewhat quirky) musical theatre. He’d also love to open up a dialogue for more commission based work in the future. Recently he has especially enjoyed writing music & lyrics for musicals with younger audiences. Collaboration is truly at the heart of his work, so he looks forward to opening up conversations with emerging directors/ dramaturges etc.
