Time-bomb
Maria, climate activist, is arrested, tried for closing a vital motorway for two days. Furious Gen Z activists are eloquent and tangle with the court. They’re also jokey and fun, sorry for the disruption but the climate is bigger – and there is a way out, if only ‘they’ would concentrate, act. Jason loves Maria but tries to persuade her of a different way. Baby boomers worry they should have done more, sooner. Maria and Jason try to resolve. Activists face the Law. Audience are the Jury. Is Maria guilty or a hero? The planet heats.

Ian Grant is a playwright, book writer and lyricist in musical theatre. He trained as an actor at East 15 acting school (2015), studied at BML and co-founded Time Productions in 2017. Ian also works in publishing and media and is a partner at Creative Structure Ltd.

Chris Walker (composer) has been associated with productions across the West End, Broadway and internationally as Musical Director, Orchestrator and Dance Arranger. His work for Time-bomb is his first essay into writing for characters apart from his own story and his debut in musical theatre.
